I think the most interesting bit is the piece on Nolin and Norris, as I feel both have had tough write ups (albeit possibly from different quarters). Baseball Prospectus lowered Norris's ceiling from all star starter to No.3 based on a year in short season ball with a FIP under 4, with frankly seems ridiculous. Nolin on the other hand I think is consistenly underrated - iI've written this before but if Justin Nicolino had reproduced Nolin's results in Dunedin this year we would all have been going crazy, and there is only one year between the two. Its not like Nolin has poor peripherals either.

Other comments - I think Dean is too high and Tyler Gonzalez too low (despite the well founded concerns over his future as a starter) and Tirado, while miles away, is often thought to have a no2 starter type ceiling so maybe belongs in your stud group?Philnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5015756050247283814.post-61621508188720299582013-01-14T17:57:06.506-05:002013-01-14T17:57:06.506-05:00Just wanted to thank you for the work you have put...Just wanted to thank you for the work you have put into this, and all the other analyses you regularly perform. I ...Gose and Sierra no longer qualify as prospects. I would think that Gose would be near the top of the list if he were still eligible.

Thanks for doing this. The farm still has some good strength, especially at the pitcher position. Pretty amazing when you consider the prospects that were traded recently. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
