What the fucking FUCK??!!

See THIS is the stuff that pisses me the fuck off!

Brian Cashman just horribly raped Kenny Williams out of Nick Swisher with no hint the Jays ever made a call. I mean, obviously we can't KNOW that the Jays didn't try but this shit is just insane - any tram in baseball should have been able to beat this deal.

The Yankees get Swisher AND an thrown in minor league reliever for Wilson Betimit, Jeff Marquez, (who's probably not as good a Scott Richmond even) and Jhonny Nunez!!

This is the equivalent of the Jays dealing Scott Richmond, Kenny Rodriguez, and Joe Inglett for Swisher.

Damn.

Just fucking DAMN.

It's bad enough you let a chance like this go by, I could live with that - but it drives me fucking NUTS that the team that benefits is the gorram YANKEES!!!!!!!

Swisher could have been a BIG piece for the Jays but even if he was a disappointment, for THAT price, no big loss. Watch him go to the Yankees and crank 35 homers next year while we throw half again more money at Giambi and he comes here and falls apart by June.

ARRRGH!!!

All we can do is hope that Swisher continues to suck. Frankly, I don't think he's that good. Hopefully he continues to be a bust in pinstripes.

Remember Jason Bay 2007? Swisher's history is too good for him to "continue to suck"...hell, even his sucky year he would have led the Jays in homers.

*sigh*

IMO, every GM in baseball ought, as a matter of principle rape the Yankees if they make a trade with them. NY HAS the MONEY to blow everyone else away, therefore no one ought to make even a fair deal with them unless it's a raw salary dump of a guy no one else will touch.

Giving them sweetheart deals on top of all that case is just wrong.

After the A's-ChiSox trade I was predicting a big offensive year from Swish, but one of my buddies disagreed. He argued that Swisher has a hard time getting out of slumps and that the merciless Chicago fans would never let up on him when he's in one. Well, Yankee fans are even more merciless... we'll see how he performs in the extreme spotlight.

Swisher is mediocre, and there's no way the Jays should have wanted that salary. First of all, have a look at his comparables from B-R.

Not historic company. Next let's think about what this means for the Yankees. If they plan on playing him at 1B, that's awesome, because that means they will lack offense from that spot and won't be getting Texeira. If they put him in CF, he's subpar defensively there, and it will only add to the Yankees defensive woes. The Yankees going with a Matsui/Damon/Swisher/Nady rotation through the OF and DH is not very imposing. Getting Swisher means the Yankees are less likely to be players on guys like Manny, which is also good for the Jays.

Count me as happy the Yankees traded for Swisher.
