Maybe this is why JP wanted Our Pal Sal in camp - in the words of BJ Ryan "Sal knows me better than anyone" and who better to be paying close attention to whether we have the ol' Beej back or not? And if Sal gets to play the role of Crash Davis to the young uns' along the way too, so much the better.
Jeff Blair has updated the Globe blog and included a link to a sound clip of Fasano commenting on having caught a bullpen session for both Ryan and Dusty McGowan tonight. Splendeferous accolades abound and I, for one, am perfectly willing to take every word as gospel truth. After all, would Our Pal Sal LIE to us?
